💡 Warren Buffett has one rule that changed how I think about everything.

"Never lose money."

That's it. Sounds simple. Most people laugh.

But here's what he actually means:

It's not that losses never happen. It's that your FIRST question before any investment should be: "How do I protect my downside?"

Not "How much can I make?" but "How much can I lose — and can I live with that?"

This one mental shift changes everything:
✅ You stop chasing hot tips
✅ You stop being swayed by fear of missing out
✅ You start asking harder questions before committing

In real estate, this is why I always ask clients: "If this property sat empty for 6 months, would you be okay?" If the answer is no — we need to rethink the plan.

In private markets, it's why I always say: understand the asset, the structure, and the exit before anything else.

Wealth isn't built by the biggest swings. It's built by not striking out.
