🌿 With the cost of just about everything going up, it’s a question worth looking at a little differently today.
Renovation costs have risen significantly over the past several years, and with new tariffs affecting some home renovation products, there’s added uncertainty around what future projects might cost.
WHY A FIXER UPPER?
It might get you into the neighbourhood you really want, give you the lot or layout you’re looking for, or allow you to buy at a lower price and make improvements over time.
WHEN MOVE IN READY MAKES SENSE
You know your costs upfront, you can move in without taking on months of renovations, and you avoid the time, disruption and risk of a project costing more than expected.
The real question is whether the difference in price makes the work worth it for you.

You know a neighbourhood is special when the people who already live there want their friends and family to move in too. ❤️

That was one of my biggest takeaways after hosting an open house in Grenfell. Several neighbours stopped by, not because they were looking to move, but because they hoped someone they knew would buy nearby.

If I were moving to London in 2026, Grenfell would definitely be a neighbourhood I'd explore.

🌿 Parks like Confederation Park
🚗 Easy access across the city via Adelaide Street and Fanshawe Park Road
🛍️ Minutes to Masonville and everyday amenities

May's numbers are in, and we're continuing to see a trend that's been building throughout 2026.

📈 776 homes sold in May, up 21.6% from April.
📈 The average sale price increased to $662,292, up 7.0% from April.
🏡 1,815 new listings came to market, giving buyers plenty of choice.
📊 Inventory sits at 4.3 months, down from 5.0 months in April.

What does that mean?

Sales have now increased month after month since the beginning of the year, and prices moved up in May as well. Buyers still have options, but the market is showing signs of becoming a little more active as we head into the summer months.

It'll be interesting to see whether that trend continues into June.

What this means:

The same pattern we've been seeing throughout May continues.

Buyers are active, but they're taking their time and being selective. At the same time, many sellers are still adjusting their pricing and strategy.

Homes are selling — just not all at the same pace.
