Sometimes I walk into a home and the best advice I can give is leave that alone.

Maybe we move a chair.
Maybe we steal a lamp from another room.
Maybe we take three things away instead of adding five.

Good decorating isnโ€™t about constantly buying new things or following every trend.

This is one of those rooms where I didnโ€™t need to reinvent anything, I focused on making it feel warmer, softer and more complete.

A few beautiful layers, the right accessories, gorgeous drapery and some thoughtful styling......suddenly everything feels connected.

And can we talk about waking up to that view every morning?๐ŸŒ…

Proof that a refresh doesnโ€™t always mean a renovation.

Before the pretty pillows, artwork and finishing touches, there were measurements, sketches, flooring samples and a whole lot of decisions.

This bedroom was dark, full and short on practical storage. The goal wasnโ€™t simply to make it prettier......it was to make it work better.

We planned a full built-in closet, chose a much lighter palette, replaced the carpet with rich dark hardwood and layered in warm whites, soft neutrals and just a hint of color.๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’š

But I think the difference is how weโ€™re using it now. It doesnโ€™t have to take over a room. Sometimes itโ€™s simply that extra layer that makes a space feel collected, interesting and a little less predictable.

My bedroom is a perfect example.....pretty before but the wallpaper gave it some personality.๐ŸŒธ

The soft floral was exactly what my room needed. It works beautifully with the existing white wall detail, ties in the bedding, and gives the whole room that soft, layered feeling I was hoping for.
