This one is a little closer to the heart…

I met this particular Buyer back when I was just starting out.
I was doing an open house and her and her husband walked in. I greeted them, as I typically do with everyone, and carried on with other people who were also there.
They toured around the home, but before they left, they asked a question - which was one of the greatest compliments that I had heard up until that point - they complimented me on how I was handling myself and the open house and proceeded to tell me that they had their home listed with someone but they weren’t very happy with them. And wondered if I would list their home..
I was so grateful that my work style and the way I handled myself actually got me an ‘in town’ listing. I was working in Kawartha Lakes (Lindsay) and it is a very difficult market to emerge into when you aren’t from the area.
Of course we handled things properly and got it done.
The house search was more like fun than work….we all shared similar humour so there were a lot of laughs. (most of the credit goes to Jay).
And Alison and I were actually both pregnant at the time, so we bonded over baby bellys and growing pant sizes.

Years had passed..I moved my business out of the area, they moved to New Brunswick to start a new chapter…
Then life happened. Things changed and home came calling..
I was so happy when Alison reached out to ask if I could help her find a home as she was moving back to Ontario.

This process has been a very heavy one in so many ways for my client…

She unfortunately lost her husband and had to do this alone…

Leave their ‘forever’ home…

Move back to familiarity but leave the last few memories and all their new friends…

Start over.

Ironically enough, this home she chose, actually feels like the last home that I sold for her and her late husband. It’s almost like this home was waiting for her.
