The Ottawa July housing market continues to be a bit of a mixed bag with some properties sitting, some selling quickly, and we’re still seeing some properties selling in multiple offers. The condominium and townhome properties are experiencing more softer conditions. Overall, it’s a weak balanced market. Buyers are being more selective and taking their time, while sellers have to be more prepared and priced appropriately if they want to move their property relatively quickly. The Ottawa’s housing market saw seasonal activity strengthening from the previous month, but continuing to lag the stronger pace seen a year earlier. Supply stayed elevated, giving buyers more choice and keeping pressure on sellers to price competitively. Overall home prices were largely stable, with detached homes showing resilience while townhomes and apartments remained softer. Economic uncertainty and buyer confidence continue to influence demand, and the summer market outlook will depend on how well demand keeps up with available inventory.
