This is my lucky hat. 🧢❤️ And yes, I know the brand behind it is being “cancelled” right now.

But here’s the thing… I don’t believe in this cancel culture world we seem to be living in.

I believe people make mistakes. I believe people can drop the ball, own it, pick it back up and DO BETTER. I believe in accountability — but I also believe in grace, growth and second chances.

None of us are perfect. I know I’m certainly not. I’ve dropped the ball more times than I can count. I’ve said the wrong thing, made the wrong decision and had moments I wish I could do over.

Can you imagine if every friend or family member who loved you simply walked away the moment you made a mistake?

When did we become so quick to decide that one mistake should define an entire person — or destroy someone’s livelihood, business or ability to move forward?

Hold people accountable? Absolutely.

Expect them to learn from it? Absolutely.

But give them the opportunity to show that they ARE better than their mistake.

We talk so much about kindness, acceptance and compassion. Maybe those things matter most when they’re difficult to give.

So yep… I’m still wearing my lucky hat.

Not because I believe anyone is above accountability, but because I believe human beings deserve the opportunity to learn, grow, make things right and come back better.

Drop the ball. Pick it up. Own it. Learn from it. Do better.

That’s the kind of world I want to live in. ❤️

A little Tuesday adventure! Spent the day exploring St. Jacobs Market, lined up for the famous apple fritters, and yes they are as good as everyone says! Stopped by the famous Kissing Bridge, only to find it’s under construction, so I guess we’ll just have to come back! A quick stop at Picard for a few more treats because apparently we hadn’t had enough, then we wrapped up the day at the beautiful Elora Gorge, cooling off in the water. Even Zoey had a great playing tourist!

Two years ago today, I joined the REMAX Hallmark Leadership Team, and what an incredible two years it has been! ❤️

This journey has been filled with growth, learning, laughter, lasting friendships, and the privilege of working alongside some truly talented agents. Every single day has brought a new opportunity to learn, grow, and help others succeed.
