Bank of Canada holds interest rate at 2.25%.

No change this time around. The Bank says Canada’s economy continues to show signs of improving, with stronger growth, steady consumer spending, and exports picking up.

Inflation has moved back above 3%, largely because of higher gas prices, but the Bank expects that to ease and says it’s ready to act if needed.

If you’re thinking about buying, selling, or renewing a mortgage, it’s worth keeping an eye on where things are headed.

Spring has officially arrived in Durham 🌸

Longer days, fresh listings, and that “new beginning” feeling are all back in the air. We’re already seeing more activity across Whitby, Oshawa, Ajax, and Pickering — buyers are out, and well-presented homes are getting strong attention.

If you’ve been even thinking about making a move this year, this is one of those windows worth paying attention to. The right strategy (and timing) can make a big difference.

No pressure — but if you’re curious what your home might be worth in today’s market, I’m always happy to give you a clear, no-obligation snapshot.

🌸 Cherry blossoms are almost here… and they don’t stick around long.

If you’ve never caught them at peak bloom, it’s worth it. Whole city just feels better for a few days.

Here are 5 solid spots in Toronto to check them out:

📍 High Park
The big one. When it’s in full bloom, it’s pretty impressive.
Tip: Go early or later in the day—midday weekends are packed.

📍 Trinity Bellwoods Park
Smaller, but great vibe. Easy walk, good people-watching.

📍 Toronto Islands
Bit more of a mission, but quieter and worth it. Nice excuse to get on the ferry.

📍 Edwards Gardens
If you want something calmer, this is a good option.

📍 University of Toronto St. George Campus
Some hidden gems around campus—good mix of trees and older buildings.

🌸 Timing matters:
• Usually late April to early May
• Peak only lasts about 4–7 days
• Once they hit peak… don’t wait

Best times to go:
• Early morning (quiet, nicer light)
• Evening (looks great in photos)

If you get out to see them, throw a pic in the comments 👍
