Elexicon Energy is matching donations to Feed the Need in Durham’s Nourish Our Community campaign, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $50,000, before Thanksgiving on October 12.

Bank of Canada holds interest rate at 2.25%.

No change this time around. The Bank says Canada’s economy continues to show signs of improving, with stronger growth, steady consumer spending, and exports picking up.

Inflation has moved back above 3%, largely because of higher gas prices, but the Bank expects that to ease and says it’s ready to act if needed.

If you’re thinking about buying, selling, or renewing a mortgage, it’s worth keeping an eye on where things are headed.
