🚨 IMPORTANT: New Rental Laws for Wales! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏠
Major changes are coming to the Renting Homes (Wales) Act this summer. At VKY Lettings Ltd, we’re making sure our landlords and contract-holders are ready for the 1st June 2026 deadline.

📅 The Key Dates
1st May 2026: The Renters’ Rights Act begins.

1st June 2026: New Anti-Discrimination Laws take effect in Wales.

🚫 What’s Changing?
From June 1st, it will be unlawful for landlords or agents to refuse a tenancy based on:

Families with Children: Blanket "no children" policies are banned.

Benefit Recipients: "No DSS" is officially illegal; all income sources must be considered fairly.

✅ How We Can Help
These new rules will be added as fundamental terms to all Welsh Occupation Contracts. We are already updating our Written Statements to ensure our landlords stay compliant and our contract-holders stay protected.
