Three of the four residential elements of the growing neighbourhood picked up an accolade at the annual Wakefield Civic Society design awards last week, in recognition of the care taken in preserving and restoring some of Wakefield’s historic landmark buildings.
The Old Police Station, which has been carefully redeveloped into 33 contemporary 1,2 and 3-bed apartments for rent, won the Residential (6 units or more) award, with judges referencing our considered approach to restoring the fabric of the building, which dates back to 1898. Other awards and recognitions include:
- Wood House, the former Police Superintendents house which has been repurposed into a modern 4-bed home - won the Refurbishment category.
- Gills Yard, our bespoke collection of nine 3-bed Mews homes received a commendation in the New Build category.
Even our marketing suite, which transformed a 19th-century Grade II listed building on Bond Street, received a commendation.
Now it’s your turn to come along and see for yourself these beautiful, award-winning homes – whether you’re looking for an apartment to rent or a new house to put down roots long-term, drop us a line to arrange a visit: [email protected]
