The Hobson Bay boardwalk, stage 4 of the Te Ara ki Uta ki Tai project.

The closing link from Ōrākei Road to Tāmaki Drive, connecting pathways around the bays and into the city centre. This final stage of the project involved working from two ends and setting out 48 column positions over a distance of 870 metres. It was a well-deserved pat on the back recently when the final girders were placed and met perfectly. The concrete boardwalk runs along the banks of the Hobson Bay estuary and we’ve enjoyed being an integral part of this notable build with HEB Construction and Auckland Transport

Monitoring critical infrastructure beneath Auckland Airport.

Our team is currently undertaking precision settlement monitoring of the new fuel pipeline being installed as part of Auckland Airport's domestic jet terminal development. With approximately 1 km of new fuel pipeline installed 2–3 metres below ground, accurate monitoring is essential to identify any movement or settlement along the pipeline as construction progresses.

Using high-precision surveying equipment, our surveyors regularly measure designated monitoring points to detect even small changes in elevation. This provides the project team with reliable data to assess ground and pipeline movement and make informed decisions throughout the works. Working within an operational airport environment adds another layer of complexity, making accuracy, consistency and careful coordination critical to the success of the monitoring programme.

There has been significant progress on the Dartmoor bridge replacement in the last few weeks. The superstructure is now under construction and pre-cast beams have all been installed. The new 104-metre-long single-lane structure is tracking well with Fulton Hogan and Hastings District Council - Te Kaunihera ā-Rohe o Heretaunga and is set to open before Christmas this year. Our Hawkes Bay team are involved in numerous bridge projects in this region, part of the cyclone Gabrielle rebuild.

A birds eye view of the crucial slip repair works on Victory road in Laingholm, Auckland. Fulton Hogan are doing a great job with the heavy civil works, including retaining wall stabilization, first-stage lagging, subsoil and anchor duct installation, benching, and backfilling. We're on the mission to repair storm damage and landslips affecting local road access and bus routes.

The 14 storey mixed-use development is rising steadily in the heart of Tauranga CBD and our Bay of Plenty team are proud to be involved in this landmark build.

The new acute mental health facility at Waikato Hospital is on track to open late December. Our team have been on board since the start and it’s always rewarding to see projects inching closer to opening its doors to the community.🏥
The purpose-built 8,000 sqm facility will include 64 single rooms and outdoor courtyards. It’s design will help to create a calmer environment and improve access to care when it is needed most.

Concrete Scanning...

Our team are currently working on an existing bridge in Upper Hutt, utilising one of many specialised concrete scanners to identify post tension cables and reinforcing steel. Before any drilling, coring, cutting, anchoring or other intrusive work is carried out our services are crucial to establish the positions of these structural components. Our findings allow contractors to choose safe locations for penetrations which enables the integrity of the bridge to stay intact.
