JULY MARKET UPDATE 2026 - There's no doubt winter has arrived, but that hasn't stopped buyers from getting out and about, especially on those clear, sunny Auckland weekends.
According to Barfoot & Thompson's latest market update, June recorded 890 residential sales, the highest June sales result in five years. Peter Thompson said buyers remain active, but with more than 6,000 properties available at month end, sellers who are realistic on price are achieving the best results.
It's not just Barfoot & Thompson seeing this trend. REINZ reported Auckland's median sale price increased 2.6% over the past year to $1,005,000, with first home buyers and owner occupiers continuing to drive much of the activity across the region.
