Summertime is farmers market season.

Whether you’re looking for fresh produce, local honey, baked goods, flowers, coffee, or just a reason to get outside on a weekend morning, metro Atlanta has some fantastic options.

From Marietta Square and Smyrna Market Village to East Atlanta Village, and Virginia-Highland, these are some of the farmers markets worth checking out this season.

Each one has its own personality, vendors, and neighborhood feel, making them a great way to explore different parts of Atlanta while supporting local businesses.

Smyrna’s West Village could be getting a major new addition.

The last remaining vacant corner of the West Village development at Atlanta Road and West Village Way may soon have a new tenant, and it’s a concept that has built a loyal following in the Athens area.

Cafe Racer is an Athens-based restaurant concept known for its coffee, food, full bar, and energetic neighborhood hangout atmosphere. A recent rezoning request would allow a portion of the property to be incorporated into the larger site plan for the project.

Residents and community leaders have been discussing the future of this corner for years, and now the conversation appears to be shifting toward how a project like this can fit into the neighborhood while addressing concerns about traffic, pedestrian safety, and compatibility with the surrounding community.

If approved, Cafe Racer could become one of the most active gathering spots in West Village and another example of how the Atlanta Road corridor continues to evolve.

Congratulations to my buyer, Helen, on closing on her new home!

This one was really special.

We looked at a lot of houses, and while there were plenty that checked some of the boxes, none of them felt quite right. Then this house came along, and it was different. It had a personality all its own, and honestly, it fit Helen perfectly.

The only problem was that we weren’t the only ones who loved it.

There were six other offers on the table, but we put together a strong game plan, stayed aggressive where it mattered, and did what we needed to do to get the deal done. In the end, Helen got the house she wanted most.

The whole process was smooth from start to finish, and Helen was an absolute pleasure to work with every step of the way.

Couldn’t be happier for her. This home is such a great fit, and I’m excited to see her make it her own.
