If this year stretched you, disappointed you, changed your plans, or knocked the wind out of you.. 😩

Last month my Pastor Steve O. Allen taught a series on Resilience & it was 🔥🔥🔥 it was just what I needed…

Let me share a few of my notes and I hope it blesses you too.

1. 💫Resilient people learn to adjust without abandoning their assignment. God’s purpose for your life has not changed🙌🏾
2. 💫Stop worshipping what was. A detour does not cancel your Destiny
3. 💫 People might judge you according to your history. But God judges you according to your Destiny. 
4.💫Do not let pain pick your personality. Let it give you wisdom and a testimony, not bitterness or isolation.
5.💫Stay connected to safe, wise & spiritually mature people. A lot of you are stuck because you’ve been around people that are Dream Killers. 
6.💫Feelings are real, but they are not always facts. Pause before making major decisions.
All that to say….

He is not finished with you yet. You may have cried. You may have lost. You may have been knocked down. But check God’s record… you are still here my friends🙌🏾 keep pressing

✨20 years later… Uncle Floyd & Tee Mika went back to where it all started. 😂❤️
During LSU Welcome Week block party 20 years ago, I met this man at Circle K. Neither of us attended LSU but now Kameron does! Full circle moment!

So for date night, we took a walk down memory lane. Back to Circle K. Back down Chimes Street. We took pictures, laughed at how much older we looked than everybody out there 😭 and even had some of the young ladies tell us how inspiring it was to see us still loving and enjoying each other after all these years.
Then we tried to go to Louie’s like the old days and found out they’re not even open 24/7 anymore. 😂 That’s when we KNEW our age was showing.
We ended the night at Waffle House and took our grown selves HOME. 😂
But beneath all the jokes, I left that night incredibly grateful.
We were babies when we met. We’ve grown up together. We’ve changed. We’ve matured. We’ve raised a family, built a life, weathered seasons and created so many memories between then and now.
And somehow, through all the versions of us, I still love our love.
To my husband, my best friend and my partner, I love you so much. I’m grateful for the life we’ve built and even more grateful that I still genuinely enjoy doing life with you.
20 years later… and I’d still choose you. ❤️

They saw the vision before there was even a neighborhood to see 🏡✨

When Yolanda and Jeremy came to me, they were READY. They knew exactly where they wanted to be and had already walked the land before it was even developed. Now look at them… HOMEOWNERS! 🔑❤️

And let me tell you about Yolanda! 😂 She is truly Miss Make It Happen. She stayed on top of every detail throughout the entire build process. From the floor plan to the colors, selections, and everything in between, she knew what she wanted and made sure it came together.

And Jeremy? He understood the assignment: “Happy wife, happy life” 🤣 He trusted his wife to make it happen, and baby… SHE DELIVERED!
I absolutely loved watching their dynamic throughout this process. They were a TEAM, and this beautiful home is proof that teamwork really does make the dream work.

Sometimes we get so focused on how far we still have to go that we forget to thank God for how far He’s already brought us 🥹
