As a lifetime Californian, we moved to Washington State in 2015 as empty nesters. After the pandemic lockdown tyranny in Washington State, we could’ve gone anywhere in the entire United States to move but in 2021 we chose Northwest Arkansas. Glad to have left the West Coast, even though I miss the mountains, the ocean; not to mention my family!
This is such a fascinating graphic to me because it demonstrates a meaningful trend. I believe people are tired of crime, the cost of living, and want to be left alone to live their lives. I mean (and no disrespect to WY,) but that’s a pretty considerable inbound number for such a cold state! We considered and visited Wyoming, (and Montana, and Idaho) but just couldn’t do it! 🥶
While I’m so glad we chose AR, I hope to see responsible and sustainable growth going forward.
Grateful to be celebrating my 10th year in real estate as a solo full-time Realtor. Grateful we chose Northwest Arkansas. By God’s providence, I think we chose well.
