Alright, everybody, it's THE hot topic right now. FLORIDA'S PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX BILL...if approved by voters this will significantly decrease the county and city taxable value of many primary residences.

〽️ The proposal would increase the Homestead Exemption for county and city taxes from the current $50,000 to potentially $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028.
〽️The school tax exemption would remain UNCHANGED at $25,000.
〽️***BUYER'S LISTEN UP*** Current Florida homeowners with an existing homestead exemption would receive the greatest benefit.
〽️The proposal would not affect trash fees, stormwater fees, or other non-ad valorem assessments.

It's important to remember that this is currently a PROPOSAL and must be approved by Florida voters before any changes take effect
