About 3 weeks ago we had our awesome backpack event- we had 264 sign ups, and unfortunately only about 130 showed up, and although we are happy we were able to help 130 kids with going back to school, we were left with supplies that well we weren’t sure what to do this.

So we did what we do best, and put our thinking hats on, looking around and seeing how we could make a difference… well, as you know Rye CO was recently impacted by the aspen fires. 🔥

So there it was, the perfect opportunity for us to give back, we called Rye Elementary school and asked them if we could bring the rest of the supplies down, happily they said yes!

Today we drove down to Rye, and we got to meet part of the wonderful staff, they shared with us how they had pushed back their starting date and even revised their supplies list to accommodate for those families that of course at the moment weren’t thinking about supplies, they had bigger things to worry about.

The school has approximately 250 students and she shared “with this we will be able to help every single one of them.” 🥹🥹

So again; thank you to all of our sponsors, to everybody cheering us on, and seeing the vision.

My heart is forever grateful.

Closing day! This one is for the books! I met Jeffry and Cleidy through a colleague in GA. They are the sweetest people! Not only do we have a similar backgrounds (immigrants, military family) they are first time homebuyers- and I am just over the moon to be able to help them achieve this milestone- using their VA loan we were able to pay off debts and still get them a comfortable payment!
