Denver Front Range Living - Julie McCollam

Denver Front Range Living - Julie McCollam Ask Julie what she loves after years in the biz. "Helping others through their real estate journey." Clients often say that Julie is easy to talk to. The people.

McCollam's entire life has been dedicated in service of others. From a young age, Julie was already engaging in community service, sports, and events. Julie's natural ability to connect with others led her in her early 20's to real estate. Over nearly two decades of representing Colorado home buyers and sellers, Julie has remained loyal to her belief that she is here to serve others. If you've ever sold or purchased a home, you know how stressful the experience can be! Julie's patience, kindness, and dedication make what could be one of the most stressful life events, a joyous and exciting experience. As a Colorado Native Julie is passionate about her State! She's a great resource for restaurants, family activities, landmarks, staycations, and of course... neighborhoods and housing. In true McCollam fashion, Julie has elevated her own ability to serve her clients. Joining SellState as a Managing Broker is something Julie told her friends that she didn't want. She didn't want to be a "manager" or a "boss." Of course, aren't the best mangers and bosses the ones who don't want to be? Her ability to mentor, lead, and support is quickly changing the forecast for her team at SellState. Julie feels honored for this new organization and opportunity. But when you ask Julie what she loves after almost 20 years in the biz, you know what she will say? "Helping others, through their real estate journey, challenging opportunities and supporting those that need support." Not the volume of clients or the titles. And that's what makes Julie Colorado's best Real Estate Agent.

Colorado Throwback: The Gum Tree at Old Elitch Gardens ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿฌ

If you grew up going to the original Elitch Gardens, you probably remember one of its strangest traditionsโ€”the famous Gum Tree. Located near the Log Ride, generations of visitors added their chewed gum to the tree, turning it into one of Colorado's most unforgettable (and admittedly gross!) landmarks.

Fun Fact: The Gum Tree wasn't something the park createdโ€”it happened naturally as guests began sticking their gum to the tree year after year. Eventually, it became a quirky tradition and a must-see stop for visitors. When Elitch Gardens moved downtown in 1995, the beloved Gum Tree stayed behind with the original park.

๐Ÿ’™ I can still remember walking by the Gum Tree every time we rode the Log Ride. It was one of those weird Colorado traditions that everyone had to see. Looking back, it was kind of gross... but it was also part of what made the old Elitch's so special. Those memories will always make me smile.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Who remembers the Gum Tree? Did you add your piece of gum, or were you like me and just stopped to stare at it? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŒณ

Colorado Throwback: Celebrity Sports Center ๐ŸŽข๐ŸŠ

Who else remembers spending an entire day at Celebrity Sports Center? From the giant indoor water slides and swimming pool to the arcade, bowling, mini golf, roller skating, and rides, it was the ultimate family destination for generations of Coloradans.

Fun Fact: The entertainment center opened in 1960 and was co-owned by Denver sports legends including Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Joe DiMaggio, and Stan Musial. It welcomed millions of visitors before closing its doors in 1994.

๐Ÿ’™ I still remember going as a kid to swim and racing down those huge indoor water slides. Some of my favorite Colorado memories were made there.

๐Ÿ‘‡ What was your favorite part of Celebrity Sports Centerโ€”the water slides, arcade, roller skating, bowling, or something else?
