When I took over the listing of this new build, I knew it was a special property. It already had so much potential; it just needed to be brought to a higher standard of presentation to truly shine.

I am honored to have guided my clients to a successful closing on this property as their listing agent.

Together, we focused on putting the home in its best possible light. My clients put in an incredible amount of work, from painting inside and out to tuckpointing, updating lighting, refinishing the wood floors, refreshing the landscaping, and more. The word originates from the Latin proprius, meaning “one’s own.” Through Old French propriété, it came to signify ownership, something that truly belongs to you.

In real estate, property is more than land or buildings. It represents the bond between people and the spaces that shape our lives.

Owning property is not just about possession. It is about the pride and steadiness that come from having a place that is undeniably your own.

Why do we call it “real estate”?

It’s not about being “real” versus “fake.” The word real comes from the Latin res, meaning “thing.” In law, it meant land that could not be moved. Estate comes from Old French estat, meaning “state” or “condition,” which was used for a person’s legal rights in land.

Together, real estate means land, plus the permanent improvements built on it, and the rights connected to both.
