After growing up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Josh went to college in St. Thomas where he graduated with degrees in Environmental Studies and Criminal Justice. Shortly after graduating in 1999 he moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to enjoy all that the Rocky Mountains had to offer. Josh entered Real Estate in January of 2005, initially with Coldwell Banker, where he spent 8 years as an associate with th

e brokerage. In the fall of 2012, along with 9 other agents, Josh co-founded Elevations Real Estate, LLC. As a locally owned and operated brokerage. Josh most recently joined Real Broker, LLC in order to grow and serve more clients in the Northern Colorado area. Josh currently resides in Fort Collins with his wife Kari, and their three children, Brooklyn, Tyler, and Grayson. They attend and volunteer at The Vineyard Church of the Rockies, and in their free time enjoy camping, rock climbing, and running.

As August wraps up, here's a quick homeowner checklist before fall:
✔️ Service your furnace before the first cold snap
✔️ Clean gutters ahead of leaf season
✔️ Check weatherstripping on doors and windows
✔️ Aerate and overseed the lawn

I have had two instances of bad realtoring in the past week. One agent asked me to show one of my listings (I happen to be the owner as well) which normally I would be happy to do because it is good for the seller. I happened to be unavailable at the time, so it did not work out. But the reason she asked me to show it is because she lives and works in Greenwood Village, which is over an hour away from here, and she could not find time to make the drive.

The other incident I had was on another listing of mine where the other agent told the buyer to call around to the listing agents on homes to have them show their listings, and then when the time came their agent would just write the offer.

Both instances are examples of lazy and unprofessional real estate agents doing a huge disservice to their clients and to the industry. If they cannot be troubled to show their own clients homes, how are they going to act if the deal gets hard, or when there are negotiations to do, or God forbid they need to leave their home or office to get something done.
