Sooo many people tell us how “lucky” we are or how crazy it is how much our business has grown.

And we ARE lucky. We’re incredibly blessed.

But the secret isn’t really a secret. We just keep figuring it out.

A deal falls apart? We figure out if we can put it back together. If we can’t, we start over.

A client ghosts us? We move on.

Someone needs us? We show up. And if we physically can’t, we find someone who can.

We don’t sit around waiting for someone else to fix something for us. We ask questions. We ask for help. We make the phone call. We learn what we don’t know. And then we keep going.

And probably one of the biggest reasons this partnership works: we have the same mindset.

We can always do better.

Not in a “nothing is ever good enough” way. We’re proud of what we’ve built. We celebrate the wins. But neither one of us is interested in getting comfortable and deciding we’ve made it. We’re just getting started 😉

When we started The Carolina Standard in March, we were immensely blessed with people who immediately believed in us, trusted us and rooted for us. 🥹

And behind the scenes? We were running on 3–5 hours of sleep some nights trying to keep up with everything we had created. 😂

A couple months in, we realized something had to change.

We wanted to keep growing, but we finally admitted we couldn’t do every single piece of it ourselves. So we invested back into our business and added someone to our team behind the scenes who, quite literally some days, saves our lives. 😂🫶🏻

We’ve both been in real estate individually for YEARS. And it has truly never been like this.

We don’t pay for leads. We don’t buy clients. We find our people, and our people keep finding us. 🫶🏻

We keep it real. We work a lot. We laugh a lot (andddd we cry). We have a few crashouts. 😂 We call each other when something goes right or wrong, figure out what we’re going to do about it, and get back to work.

So yes, we are lucky.

Lucky to have each other. Lucky to have people who trust us. Lucky to have people behind the scenes helping us carry it.✨

Even as Upstate natives, we had no idea we had this many movie theaters. 🍿😅

Believe it or not, one of the questions we get asked ALL the time is, “Do y’all have a movie theater?” So we decided to round them all up in one video!

One thing I always appreciate is a family-owned restaurant that takes pride in what they serve!

A few things we loved:
🥙 They hand-slice the lamb for their gyros.
🥬 Their mom makes the spanakopita every Sunday.
🍽️ They have daily lunch specials.
🍯 They make baklava too—which I’m excited to try next because my mom makes it, so now I have to compare. 😂

The gyro fries were easily one of my favorite things we ordered. Crispy fries topped with gyro meat, tzatziki, and fresh garlic… so good.

Zach ordered the lamb skewer lunch special, and I went with the Kouzina Special Pizza. Three kinds of meat, mushrooms, green peppers, and enough leftovers for another meal.

Definitely adding this one to our Greenville lunch rotation. If you’ve been, what’s your go-to order? 👇
