Love this!! ❤️❤️❤️
EXCITING NEWS! Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites has been awarded $75,000 to begin the next phase of restoration work on the 1761 Tannery in the Colonial Industrial Quarter — the only extant 18th-century Moravian industrial building in the world. The grant, secured by State Rep. Steve Samuelson through Pennsylvania's Local Share Account grant program, will allow HBMS to start restoration work this summer on the building, an important component of the Moravian Church Settlements - Bethlehem
World Heritage Site.
When the Tannery reopens, it will become an integral part of HBMS programming, including Birthplace of Industry tours, the new Maker's Retreats, student programs and Community Heritage Day in April. Thank you to Rep. Steve Samuelson and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for supporting this important restoration project.
