🏡 Funny how life works sometimes…

I built my first house when I was 22 years old.

That sounds wild to me now, because looking back… I was basically a baby making grown-up decisions. 😂

But my parents taught me something early: if you can own instead of rent, do it.

They taught me that every rent check builds someone else’s future, while a mortgage can help build your own.

And I’m so glad I listened.

I lived in that house for 20 years.

Twenty years of memories, life changes, hard seasons, good seasons… all of it.

And when it came time to sell, all those years of equity mattered.

That house didn’t just give me a place to live—it helped give me options.

One of the biggest blessings? Being able to move closer to my parents.

And the older I get, the more I realize how valuable that is.

That’s one reason I love real estate so much.

A house is never just a house.

Sometimes it’s your fresh start.
Sometimes it’s your safety net.
Sometimes it’s the thing that helps fund your next chapter.
