Cold calling is dead.
At least, that’s what LinkedIn has been telling us for the last 10 years. 😂
But here’s the problem: commercial real estate is still a people business.
The best listings, off-market opportunities, tenant expansions and investment deals don’t always show up in CoStar, a CRM, or an AI-generated prospect list.
Sometimes they’re sitting on the other end of a phone.
After 40+ years in CRE, I still believe picking up the phone and calling someone you don’t know is one of the most valuable—and underrated—skills a broker can develop.
And yes… you’re going to hear “No.” A lot.
But occasionally, you’ll hear “Tell me more.”
That’s where things get interesting.
📞 Cold calling isn’t dead. Bad cold calling is dead.
