A home inspection isn’t just about checking boxes. It’s about understanding how a house was built, how its systems work together, and why things fail.

My background in construction, electrical work, engineering, automation, and troubleshooting has taught me to look at problems differently. I don’t just want to identify that something is wrong—I want to understand why it’s happening and what it means for the home.

That experience is a huge part of how I approach every inspection today.

Homes are systems. Structure, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, moisture management, roofing, drainage—they all interact. Understanding those relationships helps me give my clients more than a list of defects.

It helps me give them perspective.

My goal has always been simple: education without fear. Give buyers the information they need to understand their home, make confident decisions, and know what actually matters.

It’s been a little quiet around here lately — but definitely not because I haven’t been busy. 😂

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind between running inspections and taking on a HUGE remodel at our own house… and because I apparently don’t know how to leave well enough alone, I’ve been doing a good chunk of the work myself. 🔨🏠

The good news? I’ve got a TON of new content coming. I’ve been getting plenty of real-world reminders of what it’s like to be on the homeowner side of renovations — the good, the bad, and the “why did I start this?” moments.

I’ve also got some radio interviews coming up, more inspection content, home maintenance tips, behind-the-scenes stuff, and plenty more from the remodel.

So I’m still here, still inspecting, still building Frame Home & Commercial Inspections — just with a few more tools and a lot more dust lately. 😂

One of the things I’m most passionate about is helping seniors stay safe in the homes they love.

Having older parents and growing up with my granny living in our home gave me a firsthand understanding of the challenges that come with aging in place. Those experiences shaped how I approach both my business and my community involvement.

That’s why I enjoy speaking at senior groups, community organizations, and local events about home safety, fall prevention, and practical ways to make a home safer without sacrificing independence.

Frame Home & Commercial Inspections isn’t just about buying and selling homes—it’s about helping people protect what matters most at every stage of life.

I’m grateful for the community that has supported my business, and this is one of the ways I can give something back.

Made my first trip to IKEA today, and I can finally say the Swedish meatballs live up to the hype. 🇸🇪

I went to get some ideas for closet organization and a few things for the home gym, and ended up leaving with plenty of inspiration (and a few purchases). Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying the famous Swedish meatballs—they’re definitely worth the stop.

Overall, a successful first IKEA trip. I can already tell I’ll be back.

One of the questions I was asked during my radio interview was how my construction background helps me as a home inspector.

The answer is simple: I don’t just know what I’m looking at—I understand how it was built.

Growing up in construction gave me hands-on experience with framing, roofing, electrical work, heavy equipment, and the countless details that go into building a home. Today, that experience helps me recognize issues, explain them in plain English, and give my clients the confidence to make informed decisions.

A home inspection isn’t about creating fear—it’s about providing education. My goal is to help buyers understand their future home, know what deserves attention, and feel confident moving forward.
