Friday we FINALLY got to say CLOSED! 🏡🔑

And let me tell you… this one was a RIDE. 😂

They were originally supposed to close at the beginning of July, but OHFA was running about a FULL MONTH behind, and that was just the beginning. Throw in a few other obstacles, delays, and moments where we were all wondering, “Are we ever actually going to get to the closing table?” 😅

But here’s the thing about real estate that you don’t always see on social media…

Not every deal is rainbows, butterflies and perfectly staged closing photos. 🎀😂

Some deals are smooth. Some are complicated. Some test your patience, your problem-solving skills and occasionally your sanity. There are delays, unexpected issues, financing hurdles, and a whole lot of moving parts that have to come together before those keys can finally change hands.

And that’s exactly why having an agent who doesn’t disappear when things get messy matters.

Something fun you may not know about being a Realtor… 🏡✨

My job doesn’t stop at the Ohio state line!

A few years ago, I had the privilege of helping one of my best friends move to Colorado. A couple weeks ago, she reached out and said, “We’re looking to buy another home… can you help us find a Realtor since we can’t use you because it’s in Colorado?”

And of course, I was happy to help! ❤️

What a journey this has been!

The Carter's move to Monroe has been years in the making, and today marks a huge milestone in that journey!

Buying and selling at the same time is one of the most stressful things you can do. There were obstacles we never saw coming, moments when it felt like one thing after another, and plenty of reasons to get discouraged.

But we didn't.

Instead, we laughed through the chaos with countless memes, kept reminding each other that the finish line was worth it, and kept moving forward.

Now, they're officially Monroe Hornets! 🐝💙💛

Not every home search ends in a weekend... and this one is proof that sometimes the best things are worth waiting for. ❤️🏡

For over a year, we've been searching for the perfect place. My buyer had two non-negotiables: Monroe or Lakota schools and staying within her budget. There were moments when it felt like the right home just wasn't out there, but she never gave up and neither did I.

Last night, all of that patience paid off. 🎉

She officially closed on a home where she and her kids get to start their next chapter, make new memories, celebrate holidays, and truly make it their own. That is what it's all about.

✨ UNDER CONTRACT! ✨

This one wasn't easy.

There were moments of excitement, moments of stress, moments of wondering if everything would line up the way it needed to... because while we were trying to get The Carters' home under contract, they were already under contract to purchase their next home while it continued to be actively marketed until we could get their current home under contract. If you've ever bought and sold at the same time, you know just how emotional & stressful that can be😅

But here's your reminder that what's meant to be will find its way.

I say it all the time... everything works out exactly when and how it's supposed to. ❤️

We prayed. We stayed patient. We trusted the process.

(And if you could see the text messages between us over the past few weeks... 🤣 Let's just say humor became our coping mechanism. There may have been a few memes, plenty of laughs, and enough sarcasm to get us through the waiting.)

Today, all of that waiting paid off.

🎉 The Carters are officially UNDER CONTRACT! 🎉

They're now one giant step closer to making their dream of calling Monroe home a reality, and I couldn't be more excited for them.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who shared their home, tagged friends, and helped spread the word. You may never know whose share is the one that changes everything, but they truly matter.

Buying and selling at the same time can feel like one of the biggest emotional roller coasters you'll ever ride. There will be days you question everything. There will be days you celebrate. But don't lose faith. Sometimes the best things take a little longer than we hoped.

Today’s closing was one that will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤️

When Jeff and Brenda reached out and trusted me to sell their home, it meant so much more than just another closing… because they thought of me.

I’ve known them since I was in school. I went to school with their son, and if you know Jeff and Brenda, you know exactly the kind of people they are. They are the people who make everyone around them feel special. They are kind, genuine, and the type of people you don’t forget!

My former cheerleader girls will appreciate this one… 🥹 Every game, Jeff would bring all of us cheerleaders a bag of Blow Pops. It was such a simple thing, but it was one of those little traditions that stuck with us📢

So many years later, here I am… no longer a cheerleader, but their Realtor. And of course, Jeff had to show up to closing with a bag of Blow Pops for his cheerleader. ❤️

And then there’s Brenda… 🥰 When I went to their home to talk about listing it, somehow the conversation turned to food. Her famous Rice Krispie treats came up, and Jeff started telling me how amazing they were. I laughed and said, “Those sound really good!”

Well… Brenda showed up to closing with an entire pan of them. Because that’s just who she is. ❤️

The Blow Pops and Rice Krispie treats weren’t just gifts. They were little reminders of the kind of people Jeff and Brenda have always been thoughtful, generous, and full of kindness!🫶🏽

Thank you both for trusting me with such an important chapter. It was an absolute honor to help you sell your home, but even more special knowing this relationship started long before I ever became a Realtor.

As June comes to an end, I just wanted to say thank you. ❤️

This month has been one of the most rewarding months I've had in real estate. It hasn't been easy, a change in the market, lots of hurdles to jump and alot of negotiating but I have so many families that are getting ready to start a new chapter and I would do it over and over again!

🏡 2 new listings
✨ 1 listing under contract and working hard on the other
🔑 3 buyers under contract
🎉 1 buyer closed on her new home

I also talked with new buyers today to start their journey, and July is already full of closings. It's such an exciting feeling🤗

I'll be honest... this may be one of the biggest months of my career! I know there are agents who see months like this all the time, but for me, this is something I've worked so hard for. There were times I questioned myself, times when business was slow, and times I wondered if all the hard work would eventually pay off. Seeing it all come together is a feeling that's hard to put into words.

None of this happens because of me alone.

It happens because my clients choose to trust me during one of the biggest decisions of their lives! It happens because my past clients continue to think of me long after closing and tell their family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors, "Call Sarah."
