Last week I spoke at Queen of the North, a room full of female entrepreneurs who are building, rebuilding, pivoting, and showing up anyway. That energy? Unforgettable.

My talk: The Architect of the Pivot

Because life WILL throw you curveballs. That's not a maybe, that's a promise. And the question is never if things change. It's what you do when they do.

Here's what I know for sure: It's never too late to try. Failing forward is still forward. Your dreams are allowed to change. The pivot isn't the problem, your relationship to it is.

To every woman who's mid-pivot right now, you're not behind. You're exactly where you need to be. 🙏

What do you think, do you like the modern glass look, or do you still prefer traditional railings?

The railings are officially done at the lake house, and they COMPLETELY changed the space.

We removed the old pergola and outdated railings and replaced them with illuminated glass railings from Regal Ideas Inc . The open view, clean lines, and lighting at night made such a difference.

I was doing pretty good today without getting emotional… until I started going through old pictures.

Motherhood has stretched me, humbled me, exhausted me, and healed parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I would choose it and choose you three -over and over again.

Jett, Sully, and Lennox… watching you grow has been the privilege of my life. Even though you need me differently now than you did when you were itty-bitty, I hope you always know there is nothing I am more proud of than being your mom.

The first photo was taken yesterday.
The second one… five years ago.

That second picture holds a moment I’ll never forget -early morning on the dock, the lake completely still, my kids and friends nearby, and Ryan stepping into my world for the first time in a real way. It felt new, a little uncertain… but also full of something I couldn’t ignore.

I shared it back then, and not everyone saw it the way I did. There were opinions, judgment… even the suggestion that moving forward meant I was doing something wrong.

And for a second, I let that get in my head.

But the first photo - the one from yesterday- tells the rest of the story.

It shows what happens when you don’t let fear, or other people’s expectations, decide your life.
It shows what grows when two people keep choosing each other, especially on the days it isn’t easy.
It shows that love built over time is stronger than opinions formed in a moment.

Moving forward isn’t betrayal.
Choosing happiness isn’t selfish.
And taking a chance on love again? That’s not weakness, that’s courage.

Five years later, I’m really grateful I kept going.
No anniversary. No specific date of celebration, just an appreciation for a partner who shows up! Love you Ry.
