🌊 Nearly 100 years of music history, legendary performances and unforgettable nights are getting a new chapter.

Asbury Park’s iconic Convention Hall is set to undergo a $130 million restoration, helping preserve one of the Jersey Shore’s most beloved landmarks for generations to come. Just a quick train ride from NYC, the oceanfront venue has hosted everyone from Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and My Chemical Romance over the decades.

From its early days as a grand 1920s seaside destination to its place at the heart of Asbury Park’s music scene today, Convention Hall has seen it all—and this restoration is about making sure there’s plenty more history to come. 🖤

A new 25-story JW Marriott Detroit Water Square hotel on the Detroit River now has less than six months to go before it formally opens in the middle of February.

The $396.5 million hotel being developed by Detroit-based Sterling Group is slated to have 601 rooms, with 44 suites, Scott Stinebaugh, director of sales and marketing for the hotel, said during a nearly hourlong tour of the building on the former Joe Louis Arena site.

And while major construction is still underway inside the building, significant changes are happening outside of it as well in preparation for its opening.

Key points of access to the Detroit Riverwalk are going to see some changes soon.

A two-lane extension of Second Avenue from Steve Yzerman Drive to Fort Street that’s between the new hotel and the convention center is expected to open soon.

In addition, the Detroit People Mover station that is now known as the Water Square station is expected to undergo a lengthy remodel starting in September.
