What should buyers and sellers know about the Park City and Wasatch Back real estate market heading into the final months of 2026?
September's numbers across Summit and Wasatch counties reveal a market where prices have increased year over year, while the pace of sales has remained relatively consistent.
The median sale price reached $1,862,000, up 7.2% from September 2025. Properties that went under contract averaged 87 days on the market, nearly identical to the 88 days recorded a year ago. Meanwhile, 170 sales closed across the two counties during September.
These figures provide a useful snapshot, but Park City's real estate market is anything but one-size-fits-all.
From Old Town and Deer Valley to Promontory and the Jordanelle area, each community has its own pricing patterns, inventory, and buyer expectations. The mix of properties sold can also have a significant impact on regional median prices.
For anyone considering buying or selling in Park City, understanding those distinctions is far more valuable than relying on a single market statistic.
