Big thank you to the Georgia DNR and our Golden Isles Association of Realtors for facilitating a great learning experience and field trip to Sapelo Island.
Our amazing trainer Brittany said it best, “Living on our beautiful coastline is about learning how to live in this integral ecosystem and not how can we change the ecosystem to live with us.”
Fun fact, did you know there are oyster shell recycling locations? Oyster shells were not only an integral material used for construction throughout our history, but they are also a necessary component to preserve and help rebuild our ecosystem.
