After touring the coffee farms in the Big Island, of course my coffee curiosity didnโ€™t stop there. โ˜•๏ธ๐ŸŒบ I had to explore the local coffee shops too! Here are my ๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฃ ๐Ÿฒ:

โ˜• ๐—ž๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ & ๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฎ โ€” Hip vibe, great coffee selection, and I loved their papaya with chia seeds & granola. Such a good combo!

๐ŸŒด ๐—›๐—œ๐—–๐—ข ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ โ€” A must! Their Spam musubi + Kona latte = ๐Ÿ’ฏ. Donโ€™t skip either one!

๐ŸคŽ ๐—œ๐˜€๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฉ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ โ€” The one that started my Kona coffee obsession! I discovered this place on my first Hawaii trip back in ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฒ, and Iโ€™ve been hooked on Kona coffee ever since. Still a must-go for me!

โ˜• ๐—ž๐—ฎสป๐˜‚ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ โ€” Kona gets most of the attention, but Kaสปลซ is another amazing coffee-growing region on the Big Island. If you like your coffee strong and flavorful, definitely give it a try!

๐ŸŒฐ ๐—ž๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐— ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ โ€” Also known for their macadamia nuts, and I ๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ฉ๐—˜ ๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ฉ๐—˜ their mac nut shortbread. Coffee + macadamia treats? Yes please!

๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท๐ŸŒบ ๐—–๐—น๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ & ๐— ๐˜‚๐—ด โ€” The only fusion coffee shop on my list: Korean + Kona! I tried their Dalgona Kona Coffee and now I understand why people rave about this place on Yelp. So good!

Big Island definitely knows its coffee. โ˜•๏ธ๐ŸŒด And after visiting the farms AND the cafรฉs, I think my Kona coffee addiction just got worse. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐—–๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€: which one would you try first? Or did I miss a Big Island coffee shop that ๐—ก๐—˜๐—˜๐——๐—ฆ to be on my next list? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Kauai, I loved you even more the second time around! ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒด

We didnโ€™t have much time, but we made it countโ€”an amazing stay at Grand Hyatt, the best coffee at Java Kai, turtles up close at Poสปipลซ Beach, Puka Dog with mango relish (Anthony Bourdain was right!), brunch and yummy sweets at Kountry Kitchen, and of course, a luau show! ๐Ÿขโ˜•๏ธ๐ŸŒญ

But the best part? Chillaxing with friends and celebrating Cherish Gaye as we officially welcomed her to the fabulous 40s! ๐Ÿฅ‚๐ŸŽ‰
