This is a long post but truly from my heart 💛I took some time to post this because, honestly, I didn’t have the words to articulate just how much I needed this conversation—not only in our industry, but personally.
This was probably one of the most human events I’ve ever been to that happened to talk about real estate without being all about real estate. It was healing for my mental health and made me really think about how to cultivate relationships with humans who are like me, while still simply being me.
It made me think about who my humans are, how to attract them, and how we can use what we do for a living to help our communities in a meaningful way.
We put ourselves in so many cages because we believe we’re supposed to. We convince ourselves we have to fit into a certain mold, act a certain way, or be who we think others need us to be.
But Cageless reminded me that I don’t have to live in a cage.
I can just be me.
And honestly, I never thought that would be enough.
Since this event, I’ve felt less stressed, more motivated, more engaged with people, and more confident in what I’m building. I even took a huge step and signed up with a company that can assist me with processing in 41 states while we get up and running.
That might sound like a business decision, but to me, it was so much more than that.
It was courage.
It was finally giving myself permission to step outside the cage I had created for myself.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reminding me that cageless doesn’t mean becoming someone else. It means finally having the courage to be exactly who you are.
Thank you for giving this floater a little more courage to fly. 🪽
