🚧Infrastructure Update🚧

A meaningful project is taking shape in Santa Rosa Beach. The final phase of the Kellogg Park Nature Center will add a new 1,800-square-foot educational and community space, improved ADA access, new picnic pavilions, parking, benches, and educational signage throughout the property.

Thanks to the Kellogg family’s generous donation of nearly 10 acres, this project will preserve another special piece of South Walton while making it easier for families and visitors to experience it.

May 1st. The calendar flips — and so does the beach.

Sea turtle nesting season is officially underway along South Walton's coast, and for the next six months, our sugar-white sand belongs to more than just us. From 30A to Miramar Beach, endangered sea turtles will emerge from the Gulf after dark to nest in the same stretch of shoreline we call home.
That's not a small thing.

There's something humbling about sharing this place with a creature that's been navigating these waters for 100 million years. And all they ask of us is simple: leave the beach clean, dark, and flat. Pack out what you bring. Turn off the lights. Fill in your holes before you head home.

The details that make South Walton extraordinary — the clarity of the water, the stillness of the dunes at dusk, the sense that nature is still in charge here — don't happen by accident. They're the result of a community that takes stewardship seriously.

That's the kind of place this is. And that's worth protecting.
