WALP is saddened to hear of the passing of Kurt Kluznik, founder of Yardmaster Inc in Ohio.

Kurt was the President of the Associated Landscape Contractors of American back in 2005 and helped in the merger between ALCA and the Professional Lawn Care Association of America. These two associations became PLANET which has evolved to the current NALP.

Back in the early 2000's, WALP and other State Associations worked with Kurt and PLANET to grow the Certified Landscape Technician program into a national program.

Kurt was always accessible and willing to help our industry. He will be missed by many colleagues and friends.

Yardmaster, Inc founder Kurt Kluznik recently passed away. Kluznik served as the last president of the Associated Landscape Contractors of America in 2004 before it merged with the Professional Lawn Care Association of America to become NALP. Kluznik was known for seeing the big picture and being a visionary for the industry.

Thank you to the team at SiteOne Woodinville for hosting our June WALP North Meeting. From the authentic tacos, rice, beans, and beverages to the welcoming atmosphere, they put on a fantastic event.

We also appreciate everyone who attended, including contractors, suppliers, and industry partners. A special thank you to Arnoldo and the team at Cascadia Sales Group for demonstrating Probst hardscape vacuum lifting and efficiency tools. The presentation provided valuable insights into improving jobsite productivity and safety.

SiteOne also kept things fun with a great raffle featuring a YETI cooler, paver sealer, polymeric sand, Hydro Sand, and a Probst kneeseat, while every attendee went home with a little SiteOne swag.

Great food, valuable education, generous giveaways, and strong networking made for another successful WALP meeting. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next event!
