With summer coming to a close, cooler weather is on its way; now is the time to do those last minute maintenance checks.

So, here’s our pre-fall checklist.

Check the foundation of your home – Make sure your home is on a solid foundation before winter hits. You don’t want any additional cracks or crevices forming.
Reseal the windows and doors – New weather stripping, new caulk, and check all window screens… Might as well clean the windows while you’re at it.
Inspect the roof and clean the gutters – Make sure there are no leaks or water damage (very important to check for if you live in WA) and clean out those gutters!
Power wash the driveway – Now is the time to get your driveway sparkly clean; no one wants to power wash in the cold.
Power wash the house – Time to power wash the exterior too; the last thing you want to deal with later is moss, mold, and mildew growing in your siding.
Spruce up the landscaping – A little pre-fall w**d pulling and gardening prep can help so much. A little tilling can go a long way.
Service the air conditioning system – Change those air filters, clean those vents. Unless you love cold weather, you’re about to spend a lot of time inside; make sure your air is nice and clean.
Eliminate pests – Ants, mice, and spiders can all say goodbye… or at least stay outside. Now is a good time to check your home for pests and give them an eviction notice.
