If you’re in Carolina Beach this summer, take a few minutes and walk around the lake.

Dozens of murals painted by North Carolina artists are on now display and they really capture everything that makes this island special.

The murals will stay up through early September, then they’ll be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting both the artists and the Carolina Beach Mural Project.

Each mural has a sign with the artist’s name, the title of the piece, and a QR code so you can learn more and connect with them.

And now these murals are basically the backdrop for all the fun summer events at the lake like the Saturday Farmers Market, Family Fun Night, Movies at the Lake, and more.

So next time you’re in Carolina Beach, take a walk around the lake and check them out. It’s definitely worth it!

The Wilmington Greek Festival has become one of those events my family just doesn’t miss, and it’s happening this weekend!

Great food, live music, amazing dancing, and a chance to experience a little Greek culture right here in Wilmington.

Watching the dancers always brings a lot of joy to our family, and we’re so proud of all the hard work they put in. And yes, I’m definitely there for the food too.

Wait, the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher is still open?

Yes! At least for now.

The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher announced their new projected closure date is May 26. This is so a major renovation and expansion project can take place.

It is estimated to take 2 1/2 years and will transform it into the largest aquarium in the state, including a 400,000 gallon sand tiger shark habitat.

So if you’ve been meaning to go, you still have time.

During the closure, the aquarium will set up an experience at the Independence Mall in Wilmington. They’re also planning events in the Fort Fisher area to keep people connected while construction is underway.
