A Thanksgiving Reminder to Be Grateful

This view from our deck is a beautiful reminder of just how much we have to be thankful for. Living in the Kimberley and East Kootenays has given us a whole new appreciation for the beauty around us and the community we’re fortunate to be part of.

This Thanksgiving, I’m especially grateful for my mother in law, who made us the perfect turkey to bring us all together around the table, for my spouse, who shares this adventure with me; and for a community that has welcomed us and made us feel at home.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m also reminded how important it is to appreciate the little things, take care of what matters, and never take the comforts of home for granted.
