A reminder that the application deadline for the PDG Business and Hospitality & Tourism Bursaries is tomorrow, October 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. PT.

Two $2,000 bursaries are available to Snuneymuxw First Nation members pursuing eligible Business or Hospitality & Tourism programs.

Petroglyph Development Group (PDG) is pleased to offer two $2,000 CAD bursaries for Snuneymuxw First Nation members pursuing studies in Business or Hospitality & Tourism.

This is an exciting time to build a career in these fields. As PDG continues to grow, so do opportunities across our businesses, particularly in tourism, hospitality, and business development. These bursaries are one way we can support Snuneymuxw members in building the skills and experience to be part of this remarkable growth.

Recipients will be selected based on:
-Demonstrated financial need
-Academic achievement
-The quality of responses to the short questions included in the application.

Eligible programs include:
-Certificates, diplomas, and degrees
-Programs delivered outside Canada, provided they are recognized in Canada.
-Business: Business, Commerce, Economics, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, and related fields
-Hospitality & Tourism: Tourism & Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Culinary Management, Hospitality Marketing, Event Planning, and related fields

In observance of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, the PDG Head Office will be closed Wednesday September 30, 2026. We will reopen with regular hours on Thursday October 1, 2026.

As the economic development arm of Snuneymuxw First Nation, every role at PDG contributes to economic reconciliation.

Snuneymuxw First Nation stands with Survivors and Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, and condemns every attempt to spread hate, promote anti-Indigenous racism, and deny the truth of the violent reality and legacy of the residential 'school' system.

The recent incident involving masked white supremacist cowards is not an isolated event. We are seeing a rise in anti-Indigenous racism, misinformation, and a grievance politics intent on pitting us against each other, including by political leaders and parties here in BC. We do not need more division in these already challenging times. We need greater cultural understanding, the deepening of relationships, and more awareness of our shared history.

We call on every political leader and party to follow the lead of the millions of British Columbians and Canadians, who are working every day to build a stronger province and country.
