Imagine your neighbourhood…
but instead of streets, houses and coffee shops, it had the personality of a Halloween character.
Some are charming.
Some are chaotic.
Some are going to make people weirdly defensive. 😂
We matched Greater Victoria neighbourhoods with the Halloween character that fits their personality best.
The pirate was inevitable.
Waterfront. Naval history. Boats everywhere. A little grit. A little attitude.
And somehow people outside Esquimalt still act like they’ve completely figured it out.
They haven’t. 🏴☠️
He’s been here forever.
Perfectly manicured garden. Historic mansion. Immaculate wardrobe.
And he is absolutely watching your renovation choices from behind the hedge.
Dracula didn’t move to Oak Bay.
Oak Bay was waiting for Dracula. 🧛
Pick a personality.
Farms? Yep.
Beachfront? Yep.
Students? Yep.
Suburbs? Yep.
Luxury homes? Yep.
Forest? Also yep.
Drive ten minutes through Saanich and it becomes an entirely different place.
Shape-shifter was really the only option.
What if growth had a face?
It would probably be wearing steel-toed boots and standing beside a crane.
Langford keeps getting bigger, stronger and slightly more stitched together every year.
Love it or hate it, Frankenstein feels almost too accurate. 😂
3 — COLWOOD / MASKED HERO
Plot twist: it’s Colwood.
While everyone has been watching Langford grow, Colwood has quietly been building its own origin story.
Ocean views. Royal Bay. New neighbourhoods. Big changes.
The superhero glow-up is already happening.

INVISIBLE MAN
You just drove through it.
Again.
View Royal might be Greater Victoria’s ultimate invisible neighbourhood.
Everyone passes through it.
Nobody talks about it.
Meanwhile, the people living there are quietly five minutes from basically everything.
Something’s brewing out there.
Drive far enough down a gravel road in Metchosin and eventually you’ll find:
Acreage.
Chickens.
A mysterious shed.
