LEWICON IS HIRING — CONCRETE LEAD / EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

LEWICON is looking for an experienced Concrete Lead / Equipment Operator for an upcoming residential home build

This is a hands-on lead position for someone capable of taking responsibility for the complete preparation, placement and finishing of a residential slab-on-grade foundation.
Primary responsibilities include:

• Operating a skid steer and compacting equipment
• Site stripping, excavation support and rough grading
• Placing and compacting granular subbase
• Reading elevations and using a rotary laser
• Forming slab edges and thickened areas
• Installing insulation, vapour barrier and reinforcing steel
• Coordinating concrete placement and pour-day activities
• Screeding, bull floating, edging, jointing and finishing concrete
• Directing and working alongside a small construction crew
• Maintaining quality, safety and production standards

The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven slab-on-grade concrete experience
• Strong concrete finishing abilities
• Skid-steer operating experience
• Experience with formwork, rebar and subbase preparation
• The ability to read construction drawings and elevations
• The ability to lead workers and organize pour-day operations
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s licence
• A dependable, professional and safety-conscious attitude

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can confidently lead the concrete scope and deliver a properly prepared, placed and finished residential slab.
Compensation will be competitive and based on experience and demonstrated ability.

LEWICON is looking to hire 2 Renovation Technicians to support upcoming basement renovation and restoration projects.

We’re looking for reliable, hard-working people with experience in:

Demolition
Carpentry/framing
Drywall installation
Mud/tape and patching
Flooring installation
Finish carpentry
Doors, trim, casing, and baseboard installation
General renovation work

Experience with metal cladding, siding, exterior finishes, or commercial construction is considered a strong asset.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and general hand tools.

Applicants should be dependable, able to work as part of a small crew, take direction well, and show pride in clean, professional workmanship.

Work is based in the Winnipeg/Selkirk/Stonewall area.
