A year ago, almost 1 in 4 homes coming onto the market had previously been rental properties. Today, that figure has dropped to just 1 in 8 📉

Nationally, the proportion of former rental homes being listed for sale has fallen from 22.5% in Q1 2025 to 12.4% in Q1 2026. So what’s changed?
✅ Many landlords who wanted to sell may have already exited.
✅ Rising rents are making buy-to-let investments more attractive.
✅ Strong rental demand continues across many areas, including Stevenage.
