We got the work done, traded work mode for lake mode, and made time for a little fun together on Lake Champlain.

Vermont, it’s officially our season. 🍂🍎

The first day of fall is here, and around here that means crisp mornings, the first pops of color, c***r donuts, apple picking, pumpkins, scenic backroads, and that “maybe I do need a sweater” weather. 😂

And today? Definitely sweater weather! Bright, sunny, a little chilly, and we can already see hints of the foliage changing right from our office windows. ☀️🍁

We’re still early in the season, but that’s part of the fun—watching Vermont slowly change day by day and knowing there’s plenty more color to come!

It’s also the perfect time for those little fall projects around the house: 🍂 tidying up the yard, clearing leaves and debris, checking the gutters, decorating the front porch, and tackling a few outdoor projects while we still have these beautiful sunny days.

Then comes the important stuff… get outside and enjoy it! Take the scenic route home, visit a favorite local spot, pick some apples, grab a c***r donut, and enjoy the start of another Vermont fall. 🍎

It may still be early, but we’re starting to catch more signs of fall around Vermont—and we know how quickly things can change from here.

From an afternoon exploring the grounds to date night, cocktail hour, or simply taking in the views, Shelburne Farms is one of those places that reminds us just how much there is to enjoy right here in our community.

And sometimes you make a new friend along the way—like when Lainey Rae'sdaughter Frankie met a fellow Frankie during their visit. 😂🐄 Clearly, Frankie's stick together!
