Struggling with time management is something I hear from a lot of agents (it can be tough working for yourself!), but to solve the problem, you have to get more specific.
Do you struggle with feeling overwhelmed? Setting unrealistic expectations for yourself? Maybe you procrastinate or let perfectionism get in your way? All of these have different solutions, and you don’t need a fancy system to solve them.
The best system is one that works for you. So follow the line that applies to you and check out the caption one each slide for a few tips to try and let me know how it goes!
Keep going…
Try:
➡️ Reminding yourself that the frustration of not completing the task is greater than the discomfort you’ll feel doing it.
➡️ Scheduling co-working time with your productive friends. Plan for your ‘boring’ tasks during your most productive hours of the day. Then, tackle the exciting ones as a treat.
Try:
✅ Doing a self-assessment! If you’re always running behind, add 15 minutes minimum to your plan, no matter the task. Also, ask yourself, ‘How much is really on my plate?‘ Time and energy are finite resources. Get a sense of what 100% looks like for you.
✅ Saying ‘no’! You need free time to recharge.
Try:
📝 Reassessing your task list! Your focus is lilely too broad and you would benefit from sorting your list by priority. Then, complete it in order.
Try:
🔍 Keeping your eye on the end goal! As you tackle your task, make a list of any tiny details you might want to revisit at the end. Perfection is the enemy of done.
🔍 Revisiting your list at the end! It’s possible those small details will no longer be relevant or a concern.
