Rates above 7% don't have to mean a 7% payment.

In September, about 64% of Denver-area home sales included seller concessions, and those dollars can go toward buying down your interest rate.

On a $600,000 home with 10% down, a $12,700 seller credit for a 2-1 buydown can save about $700 a month in year one. The same $12,700 off the price saves only about $80 a month.
