I’ve always thought natural light is one of the most underrated things to pay attention to when you’re looking at a home.

We spend so much time talking about square footage, finishes, and updates, but the way light moves through a house can completely change how it feels to live there. Where the windows are, which direction they face, and which rooms catch the morning or afternoon sun all matter more than you might think.

Because ultimately, you’re not living in a floor plan. You’re living there at 9 a.m. on a Sunday, drinking coffee in the kitchen, and that’s the stuff that makes a house feel like home.

Pay attention to the light.
