This morning, after dropping off my kids, I was planning to go for a swim. Instead, dressed in my workout clothes and looking far from āwork ready,ā I decided to stop by and visit a family who had just moved into the home we helped them buy a few days ago.
Iām so glad I did.
The moment I walked in, their sonāwho was meeting me for the very first timeāran over and gave me the biggest hug. Then he looked at me and said, āI really like you. ę们å¾ęē¼åļ¼ā
That completely melted my heart.
He couldnāt wait to show me his new bedroom, tell me about his favorite things, and explain how different this home feels compared to where they used to live.
His parents kept thanking me, but what stayed with me most wasnāt the wordsāit was the happiness on their faces.
They shared how their new home has completely changed their daily life. Their commute is now less than 15 minutes, giving them so much more time to spend together as a family. They love how peaceful and safe the neighborhood feels, and for the first time in a long time, they feel like they can truly slow down, enjoy life, and focus on raising their son.
When I first started in real estate, I thought closing a deal and earning a commission would be the most rewarding part of the job.
Years later, Iāve realized thatās not true.
The greatest reward is seeing a family genuinely happier because they found the right home. Watching children get excited about their own room, seeing parents feel relieved and hopeful, and knowing youāve played a small part in creating that happinessāthatās the feeling that never gets old.
Moments like this remind me why I still love what I do after all these years. ā¤ļø
