2025 was a year of enormous change for me.

2025 was the year I almost walked away from real estate.

After 11 years I just felt burnt out, exhausted, and down right depressed. My personal business wasn’t doing great and I just questioned it all. The real estate business has changed a LOT since I started in 2014 but 2025 just felt different than the rest. Homes were going back to staying on the market for longer periods of time, interest rates still haven’t gone down as low as they once were, and the prices continued to stay high. So much went back to pre covid like tendencies and buyers/sellers just weren’t understanding why. I was getting more of the blame than the market itself and it just felt heavy.

In real estate it’s hard to continually reinvent the wheel and yourself. No matter how confident you are in the actual contracts and negotiations, and all the stuff that comes with it you find yourself constantly trying to find new ways to market and not only sell homes but also sell yourself.

With all this said, in April I was afforded an opportunity to make a change that allowed me to breathe again but also add another job of a leasing agent to the mix.

And just like that, my entire perspective on it all. I have just felt like I found myself again and I’m where I need to be. I love where I am!

I knew once again without a shadow of a doubt that I wasn’t meant to do something else… real estate really is where my heart is.

As I came across a post from my Facebook memories, it really did remind me of how far I’ve come in the last 12 years and what I sacrificed in the beginning to make it all work. It was a video of my kids saying “when you let my mommy help your family, you help our family”.

I hope those same kids know how hard their mom works for them and will continue to do so!
