Not every part of real estate is easy… and this is one of those moments.
I’m currently representing a young buyer who is so excited to purchase her first home. We found a lovely house, competed in a multiple offer situation, and got her offer accepted
But then came the home inspection…
59 pages long.
The roof is at the end of its life.
There are plumbing concerns, electrical panel issues, signs of past mold, brick and masonry repairs needed, and more.
The seller has agreed to a few repairs and a $1,000 credit… but in reality, that doesn’t come close to addressing the bigger concerns.
And now comes the hardest part of my job.
She asked me:
👉 “What should I do?”
As Realtors, we don’t make the decision for our clients…
We educate, protect and guide her through one of the biggest decisions of her life. Educate and facilitate........
We walk them through:
• What’s cosmetic vs. what’s costly
• What’s safe vs. what’s risky
• What today’s decision could mean for their future
And sometimes… that means helping them consider walking away from a home they truly love 💔
What many people don’t see is:
• The days (and nights) spent searching
• The multiple offers written
• The emotional highs and lows
• The time invested… often with no guarantee of a paycheck
This isn’t just opening doors.
This is advocating, advising, and standing beside someone during one of the biggest financial decisions.
Moments like this are tough.
Because I know how much she wants it… and I also know what she deserves.
No matter what she decides, I’ll be right there with her every step of the way.
If you’ve ever wondered what a Realtor really does… this is it.
If you’re thinking about buying or selling, I’d love to guide you through the process with honesty, experience, and your best interest at heart.
