For Mike, volunteering isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about showing up. Serving breakfast. Learning names. Remembering someone likes tater tots. Offering a smile and reminding people matter.

“The thing I’ve learned is that people want to be seen. Sometimes it’s remembering someone’s name or their favorite breakfast. Sometimes it’s just listening. Those small moments can mean more than you realize. I’ll never forget when a resident told me she was leaving because she had found housing. That’s why we do this.” — Mike

One moment that stayed with him was when a resident quietly shared that it was her last day because she was moving into housing. Moments like that remind us that transformation often begins with simple acts of consistency and care.

One generous donor gifted a bike that found its way to a resident who needed it.

Another community member turned their birthday into an opportunity to raise funds and collect care kits.

We’re getting closer every day but we still need your help to reach our goal before June 30th!

💚 This is Carla’s story. And it’s why your gift matters.

One unexpected moment changed Carla’s life.

After an electrical fire destroyed her home, Carla found herself experiencing homelessness for the first time at 68 years old.

Then she found Bridge to Home.

What she found wasn’t just shelter. She found safety, support, community, and people who believed in her.

Today, Carla is living independently again and beginning a new chapter.
