The Baltimore Home Demand Index for August 2026 was up from July. The data for the August index is from July, so I will be interested to see the September report, as I have noticed a slow down, which is not unusual for mid-late summer.

The Baltimore Home Demand Index for August 2026 is 87, up three points from last month, remaining in the "Slow" category from the Baltimore home demand index for July 2026 that was "Slow" at 84. The Fed left interest rates the same, which was expected. There was discussion amongst some economists as to whether there could be an increase, but the Federal Reserve decided a continued pause was the best route at this time.
