There’s just something about seeing Englewood and Manasota Key from above 🌴🌊

These beaches are extra special to me because I grew up here. I spent so much of my childhood on Englewood Beach and around Manasota Key, so getting to now help people buy and sell homes in the same area I grew up in feels pretty full circle

Sometimes rain can tell you more about a home than a sunny showing ever could 🌧️

This video is from a property tour I did last Sunday with a couple looking to purchase a home in the North Port area, and we were actually glad it was raining because it gave us a chance to see the property under real conditions.

Here are 3 reasons why touring a home in the rain can be a GOOD thing:

1. You can see where the water actually goes. We were able to watch how water was draining from the roof and gutters and where it was collecting around the property.
2. You can spot signs of deferred maintenance…In this case, the rain made it much easier to see that certain areas of the property had not been properly maintained. Things that might not have stood out nearly as much on a dry, sunny day.
3. You can identify potential water issues. Pooling water, drainage concerns, leaks and moisture are a lot easier to notice when Mother Nature is basically conducting the inspection for you.

A message to Florida buyers: don’t automatically be disappointed when it rains on showing day. Sometimes it gives you information about a home that you really need to see before making a decision.

Seeing Wellen Park from above really puts into perspective just how much this area has grown and how much there is to love about living here 🌴

These drone photos capture some of my favorite parts of Wellen Park, from the beautiful neighborhoods and lakes to Downtown Wellen, CoolToday Park, walking trails, restaurants, and all the little things that make this feel like more than just another place to buy a home

I spend a lot of time in Wellen Park for work, but I genuinely love being here. There’s always something going on, it’s close to the Gulf beaches, and with so many different communities, there really is something for just about every stage of life

Whether you’re looking for your first home, raising a family, searching for a 55+ community, or simply ready for a change of scenery, I think Wellen Park is one of the best places to call home on Florida’s Gulf Coast
