Buying a first home together is exciting, but it’s rarely as simple as it looks from the outside. This one is a great example that the best outcomes usually come from flexibility, trust and teamwork.

Bailey and Sydney started the process with one idea of what they were looking for, but as we dug deeper into their goals and lifestyle, we pivoted. That shift led us to a completely turnkey, low maintenance, right sized home in Portland that truly fits how they want to live. This home isn’t the one they first imagined, but it was the one that ultimately felt just right.

This transaction also benefited not only from my wonderful clients, but also from the teamwork of an incredibly thoughtful seller and her stellar Portside agent Tami Goodrich, Garrett Ryan at Androscoggin Bank, and Two Lights Settlement for the closing. Everyone involved went above and beyond with effective communication and addressing any issues as they came up to keep this transaction moving along smoothly.

We were also able to structure a possession after closing (rent back), giving the seller the time she needed to transition into her next home.
